This past week I was doing my Internet thing, clicking from this to that and saw this phrase: “a notebook that syncs to the cloud”.
Just that premise made me click through.
The notebook is called Mod Notebooks.
What’s the idea? Write in your journal or notebook and fill it up. After you’re done, send it back to them and they scan and digitize it and load to their app. Now your handwritten notes are editable and ready. It also syncs to Evernote and other similar programs.
I’ve started my next novel in a random, half-used legal pad that had some notes from other projects already in it. Part of my process is typing it up to edit it, but by using Mod Notebooks, I can skip that step. I’ll still read it once it’s digitized, but then I can focus on the grammar and story construction rather than just accurate typing.
Also, NeedWant is just a small company out of St. Louis. They focus on physical products and share a lot of their processes. (PS: No, they didn’t sponsor this in anyway).
If I get a Mod Notebook, I’ll let you know how it goes.
