Since I finished my manuscript, I’ve kinda been taking it easy.
And by “taking it easy,” I mean I’ve just been blogging and writing random sports stories.
I haven’t had a long-term project. I’ve got one in the works, but I feel like the break has been well-deserved.
I’ve had some major life changes in the past 4 months, but I think I’m ready. I’m going to write something else. SOMETHING ELSE. There I did it.
A gestating project–tentatively called Ace County–has been sitting around for awhile, like 2 or 3 years awhile. Scraps of it predate this Taco Jehovah thing. It’s funnier than what I’ve written before, and Parks and Recreation is a definite inspiration. The format is also different.
I started with the idea of “found” objects, but that format is slowly burning away into a screenplay-esque/play hybrid. But it’s not for that, it’s for you to read. Speaking of…
I WAS ABOUT TO INSERT A LINK IN HERE FOR YOU TO READ SOME OF IT, BECAUSE I STARTED IT A LONG TIME AGO AND POSTED IT IN A RANDOM PLACE, I DON’T WANT TO DO THAT NOW, MAYBE I’LL DEVELOP IT FURTHER THEN LET YOU SEE IT, THE CREATIVE PROCESS CAN BE CONFUSING SOMETIMES.
