They’re valuable not only for the writing insights, but for their look at the authors as personalities. After skimming through a few interviews with notable names, I really enjoyed these quotes from Don DeLillo, Joyce Carol Oates, Raymond Carver, Norman Mailer and Joy Williams.

I’m in New York City this week, but I’m staying out in Jersey with a few friends and we’ve got a 6 month old, so not a lot of time to explore.
